# KeepPro — free queue and number tickets for small places

> KeepPro runs a walk-up queue for a small place: customers take a number (or are handed one) and see on their own phone when it is their turn, and the person running the place taps "Call next" on their own phone. It is free and runs in the phone browser — no install, no account.

## Help someone set up a queue

Build a setup link and give it to them (or show it as a QR code). They open it on their own phone; the queue is created under their own sign-in on that phone, so it is theirs from the first second. You never need credentials.

- `template` (required): one of the place types below.
- `name` (optional): the queue name customers see, at most 40 characters, URL-encoded, plain text (emoji do not display yet). They can change it before going live. No personal data (no phone numbers or people's names).
- `ref` (optional): where they came from. Use `agent`.
- Leave `name` out entirely when you have no name — never send the `{name}` placeholder itself.

## Place types

- `photo_machine` — Photo Machine: Photo sticker machines and print kiosks. Customers scan the poster to take a number.
- `restroom` — Restroom: Public restrooms and changing rooms. Customers scan the poster to take a number. Offers an optional one-minute practice run (needs a second phone; can be skipped).
- `bv_pickup` — Brand Pickup: BV and retail brand pickup counters. They hand out the numbers; customers scan the poster to see which number is being served. Offers an optional logo step.
- `other` — Something else: Any other queue. Asks them to pick a service type; use it when nothing else fits.

## What they see next

1. KeepPro opens on the setup for that place type with the name filled in. One tap goes live; a logo step or a service-type choice adds one more.
2. The queue is live: a big "Call next" button and a QR poster to print and stick where people queue.
3. Some place types then offer an optional practice run, after which real customers start from #1.

## Rules

- Use only the place types listed here; for anything else use `other`.
- Do not open it yourself: the queue would belong to your browser, not to them. Hand over the link or a QR code of it.
- If they already use the KeepPro app on their phone, tell them to open the app instead; a link starts a separate web queue.
